NEW: Nick Begich Refuses to Return Campaign Cash from Alleged Domestic Abusers

New reporting from Politico details how Nick Begich refuses to return campaign cash from alleged domestic abuser Max Miller. Politico reports that Begich “did not return requests for comment” and has “remained quiet in recent days about whether [he]’ll give Miller back his money.”

Over the past several weeks, multiple Republican senators called for Max Miller’s resignation, including Senators Bernie Moreno, Jon Husted, Tim Sheehy, Shelley Moore Capito, and Roger Marshall.

REMINDER: Begich also accepted campaign donations from a top GOP aide arrested on federal charges of child sex crimes.

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Nick Begich will do anything to hold on to power, including ignoring credible allegations of domestic violence and abuse because he would rather keep his campaign coffers full than do the right thing.”

Politico: Republicans stay mum on whether they’ll return campaign cash from embattled Max Miller

  • Rep. Max Miller has kicked campaign cash to more than a dozen fellow Republicans competing in some of the midterm’s tightest races. Few are saying whether they now have plans to return the money as the Ohio lawmaker seeks reelection despite serious allegations of domestic abuse.
  • Republican candidates who have remained quiet in recent days about whether they’ll give Miller back his money [include]… Nick Begich.
