New reporting from Heartland Signal highlights how lobbyist Kevin Coughlin called the GOP Tax Scam that jeopardizes health care for more than 31,500 Northeast Ohioans “a win” – and notably, implied it doesn’t go far enough in cutting programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.
Coughlin “implied that these cuts are not enough,” which isn’t shocking from the guy who “advocated for privatizing Social Security, raising the retirement age and converting Medicare to a voucher program.”
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Lobbyist Kevin Coughlin has made a career of trying to cut Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security and cannot pass up an opportunity to tell Ohioans he wants to take away their hard-earned benefits. He is obsessed with gutting Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security to fund tax breaks for his rich friends, and Ohioans will once again reject his dangerous agenda.”
