NEW: Pennsylvania Just Announced Higher Premiums for 2026 Because GOP Congressmen Would Rather Shut Down the Government Than Prevent Skyrocketing Costs

Sticker shock is coming to hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians – and Republican Congressmen Ryan Mackenzie, Rob Bresnahan, Scott Perry, and Brian Fitzpatrick are to blame.

The Pennsylvania Insurance Commission on Tuesday announced new 2026 rates for Pennie users, and premiums could “more than double” for some Pennsylvanians because Republicans in Congress have failed to extend ACA tax credits.

REMINDER: Mackenzie, Bresnahan, Perry, Fitzpatrick and House Republicans have skipped town and refuse to vote to extend the ACA tax credits.

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Ryan Mackenzie, Rob Bresnahan, Scott Perry, and Brian Fitzpatrick would rather shut down the government than do their jobs and prevent Pennsylvanians from facing skyrocketing health care costs. Pennsylvanians are now getting notified of massive price spikes, and Republicans in Congress are to blame.”
