NEW POLL: 100 Days In, Americans Are Deeply Concerned About Extreme MAGA Republican Agenda

Navigator Research poll: 76% of Americans concerned about Republican plan to cut Social Security and Medicare

100 days into the chaotic Republican House Majority, Americans are extremely concerned about the extreme MAGA Republican agenda that is threatening their livelihoods.

According to a new poll from Navigator Research, the vast majority of Americans are opposed to GOP plans to end Social Security and Medicare, cut Medicaid, ban the teaching of accurate history, and outlaw abortion nationwide.

Notably, an overwhelming majority of Americans – 76 percent – are very or somewhat concerned with the extreme MAGA Republican plan to slash Social Security and Medicare – including 70 percent of independents.

The latest polling data comes as Bloomberg Government reported three-fourths of House Republicans are plotting a budget proposal that would cut benefits for Social Security and Medicare recipients, increase premiums, and raise the retirement age.

“The extreme MAGA Republican scheme to cut Social Security and Medicare, bully children, and outlaw reproductive care nationwide is deeply out of touch with the values and beliefs of everyday Americans,” said Justin Chermol, spokesperson for Leader Hakeem Jeffries and the DCCC. “100 days into their majority, Republicans have focused entirely on catering to the most fringe extremists of their party, and failed to deliver meaningful, common sense legislation that will protect fundamental rights, lower prices, and create better-paying jobs.”
