NEW POLL: As Economy Worsens Under Rubber Stamp Republicans, Trump’s Approval Craters With Latino Voters

New polling shows Trump’s approval with Latino voters – particularly independents – has precipitously dropped as the economy implodes, fears of a recession grow, and Republicans in Congress prepare to enact the largest cut to Medicaid and food assistance in American history.

What Republicans are reading: 

  • An overwhelming majority of Latino voters – 58% – disapprove of Trump’s handling of the economy.
  • 56% of respondents say the economy is getting worse under Donald Trump and the Rubber Stamp Republicans.
  • 56% of respondents say Trump is focused on the wrong thing – with inflation and cost of living topping concerns of Latino voters.
  • Seven in 10 voters surveyed expressed negative emotions when asked about the current trajectory of the country.

“The so-called Republican ‘mandate’ to destroy the economy and gut health care to pay for tax breaks for billionaires is out of step with everyday Americans, including the overwhelming majority of Latino voters. The dam is breaking and House Republicans will pay for refusing to stand up for hardworking families.”
