With six months to go until the November midterm elections, Donald Trump is severely underwater with the American people on every major issue animating the electorate, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll.

Just 37% of Americans – and 25% of Independents – approve of Donald Trump.
On issues voters repeatedly say are most important to them, Trump is underwater by a staggering level:
- Cost of living: 23% approve; 76% disapprove
- Inflation: 27% approve; 72% disapprove
- Situation with Iran: 33% approve; 66% disapprove
- The economy: 34% approve; 65% disapprove
- Immigration: 40% approve; 59% disapprove
Despite these terrible ratings, vulnerable House Republicans in swing-districts continue to bear hug the President and his dangerous policies that are making life more unaffordable for the American people. As a result of Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran, gas prices reached $4.45 nationally over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Democrats have taken a commanding lead on the generic ballot, up 5 points on Republicans, 49% to 44%.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“House Republicans are walking the plank in full support of Donald Trump’s disastrous agenda. They are going down in November.”
