| Voters will punish House Republicans like Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn if they fail to extend the ACA tax credits before they expire at the end of the year, according to a new poll from KFF.
The poll also found 58% of people with health insurance from the Affordable Care Act would not be able to afford a $300 increase in premium.
If the tax credits expire, 24,000 people in IA-01 and 25,000 people in IA-03 will pay an average of nearly DOUBLE the cost of their health care premiums.
214 of Miller-Meeks and Nunn’s colleagues have signed onto a discharge petition to extend the ACA tax credits for three years. Why haven’t they?
REMINDER: Nunn’s party bosses OPPOSE extending the ACA tax credits. If Nunn was serious about his charade, he’d sign on to the discharge petition to force a vote to *actually* extend the tax credits.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“The clock is ticking for Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn to take action on fixing the Republican health care crisis, but they are refusing to act. Iowans know who to blame for incoming skyrocketing costs and Miller-Meeks and Nunn will be held accountable for their cruelty next year.” |
