NEW POLL: Voters Overwhelmingly Trust Democrats on Core Issues 13 Days Before the Midterms

Generic congressional ballot lead for Democrats increases to 11 points

A new poll from the New York Times/Siena puts Democrats ahead on which party voters trust to tackle the cost of living, the economy, corruption, foreign wars, immigration, and AI.

Voters believe the Democratic Party is the party of the working class by a 13-point margin — a result that demonstrates how Democratic candidates are meeting voters on the issues that matter most to everyday Americans, and how betrayed they feel by House Republicans.

The numbers indicate that Democrats’ midterm advantage is more than just a rejection of Trump and House Republicans, but is a result of voters’ increased trust towards the Democratic Party and its candidates.

DCCC Spokesperson Liam Buckley:
“While Republicans are running away from their record, Democrats are talking about the issues that matter most: lowering costs, taking on corruption, and fixing our broken health care system. Democrats are actually listening to the American people, and that’s why they’ll elect them to the majority in November.”
