Democratic incumbents remain popular and more trusted nationwide on kitchen table issues, in strong position to reclaim majority
New polling from Navigator Research shows that approval of House Republicans and the Republican House Majority “notably declined” over the past few weeks.
While the public’s approval of Democrats in Congress remained steady, Congressional Republicans’ approval plummeted across the board – down to 39%. Additionally, 68% of respondents said that House Republicans have prioritized the wrong things since taking the majority.
In stark contrast, House Democrats are proudly running on a record of accomplishments, and it shows with a net positive favorability. Voters trust Democrats more than Republicans to cut costs for health care and prescription drugs, stand up to special interests, and look out for everyday Americans.
DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“The public is paying attention. They see the extremism and dysfunction and know that House Republicans have ignored the middle class. A year out from Election Day 2024, House Republicans are building the case against themselves while Democrats are working hard to reclaim the majority to get Congress back to work for working families.”
