NEW POLLS: The American People are Souring on Republicans’ ICE Overreach

Republican ratings on their handling of immigration “In Free Fall”
New polls from NBC News and the Associated Press show Trump and House Republicans’ approval ratings on the handling of immigration and ICE enforcement are “in free fall.”

A majority of independents and large numbers of traditional Republicans disapprove of the administration’s overreach and dangerous tactics. According to the AP, just 23% of independents approve of Trump and House Republicans on immigration, and NBC finds a double-digit shift in voters who say they “strongly disapprove.”
DCCC Spokesperson Liam Buckley:
“Support for Trump and House Republicans is plummeting, and now they’ve made immigration a losing issue for themselves heading into the midterm elections. Voters are looking for commonsense reforms, not the violence and dangerous overreach that we have seen from this Administration.”
