NEW RANKING: Zach Nunn is One of the Most Vulnerable Congressmen in the Country

National Journal ranked Nunn the 8th most vulnerable Republican in their latest House Power Rankings

National Journal’s newest House Power Rankings listed Zach Nunn in the Top 8 most vulnerable Republicans in the country – the latest indication that IA-03 is a toss-up race thanks to Nunn’s record failing Iowa families.

“The Des Moines seat is a top priority for Democrats. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee recently named Sarah Trone Garriott to its coveted “Red to Blue” challenger program, and she’s consistently raising enough money to keep pace with Nunn. Besides money, there are two other factors at play that might give Democrats more momentum by November. First, Trump’s tariffs have hit the state hard as countries such as China have all but halted buying Iowa soybeans. Two, Democrat Rob Sand is running a very competitive race for governor, and he could lift a lot of boats along with him.”

Nunn has spent his time in Congress rubber-stamping a cost-spiking agenda, backing Trump’s chaotic tariffs, slashing rural health care funding and forcing clinics to close, voting to kick Iowans off their insurance and raise health care costs, and putting his D.C. bosses before Iowans at every opportunity.

DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Zach Nunn has a disastrous record of putting billionaires and his party bosses before hardworking Iowa families. Iowans see that Nunn has broken his promises and left them behind, and they’re ready to elect Sarah Trone Garriott this November.”
