New year, same liar.
Not long after George Santos denied all accusations of committing any crimes in Brazil, newly revealed case documents from Brazil show that Santos himself admitted to stealing a man’s checkbook, falsifying an ID, and forging signatures to buy more than $1000 worth of clothes and shoes.
Santos admitted to the crime to local police in 2010, yet recently told the New York Post – in what was supposed to be his attempt to “come clean” – “I am not a criminal here – not here or in Brazil or any jurisdiction in the world. Absolutely not. That didn’t happen.”
Now, after seemingly avoiding Brazilian authorities for more than a decade, Santos will finally have to face his fraud charges once and for all.
With how the House Republicans have been governing so far, Santos may be under an international criminal investigation before he’s even able to be sworn in as one of McCarthy’s lackeys.
DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre
“George Santos is a liar, fraud, and cheat who’s proven he can’t even issue an apology without spewing more lies. New Yorkers can’t trust a single thing he says. He’s an embarrassment to Long Island and is completely undeserving of being a member of Congress.”
