A new report shows just how devastating Gabe Evans’ and House Republicans’ Tax Scam would be for Coloradans’ wallets:
- Colorado households would pay $1.3 billion more in increased energy bills over the next decade, with the average Coloradan paying nearly $500 more – an 11% hike – each year.
- Colorado would lose 15,500 jobs in 2030 and 10,100 jobs in 2035.
- State GDP would shrink by $15 billion over the next 10 years.
Despite previous promises to protect Colorado’s growing clean energy economy, Evans cast the deciding vote to gut clean energy projects in his district. Just last week, Amprius Technologies announced it was cancelling a $190 million battery plant in CO-08 – a devastating blow.
Evans recently begged Senate Republicans to fix the GOP Tax Scam’s clean energy cuts – after he had already voted for it.
DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“The Big, Ugly Bill is a daily reminder to Colorado that Gabe Evans and House Republicans have failed miserably at fulfilling their central campaign promise to lower costs, protect jobs, and grow the economy. Evans’ broken promises will be the reason he becomes a one-term Congressman next year.” |
