NEW TV AD: Scott Perry Cares About Insurance & Drug Industries, Not South Central Pennsylvanians

Third DCCC TV Ad in PA-10 Begins Airing Today

Today, the DCCC released its latest TV ad in PA-10, “Why?” The ad is airing now on Harrisburg broadcast and cable and shines a light on the many votes Congressman Scott Perry has taken that threaten the health care of South Central Pennsylvanians, while taking $100,000 in campaign contributions from the drug and insurance industries.

As a reminder, Perry voted 12 times to repeal the Affordable Care Act, threatening the 300,900 Pennsylvanians in the 10th District who have pre-existing conditions, and voted against a bipartisan bill to lower the cost of prescription drugs. His Big Pharma allies are so intent on keeping him in Congress that they’ve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to get him reelected.

Statement from DCCC Spokesperson Courtney Rice:

“South Central Pennsylvanians don’t have to wonder why Congressman Scott Perry repeatedly votes to gut protections for pre-existing conditions and against lowering the cost of prescription drugs – all they have to do is follow the money. Perry has taken $100,000 in campaign contributions from the drug and insurance industries and it’s clear that, with him, their money does the talking… and he does the voting.”

This is the DCCC’s third TV ad in PA-10. The first ad, “Price Gouging,” highlights how Perry consistently prioritizes the drug and insurance industry that funds his campaign over South Central Pennsylvanians. The second ad, “Go Through,” takes Perry to task for cutting unemployment benefits, even during this pandemic.

Narrator:

Why?

Why did Scott Perry vote 12 times to gut protections for pre-existing conditions, like asthma, diabetes, and cancer?

Why did Scott Perry vote against a bill that would lower prescription drug prices even though families and seniors will pay more?

Why?

Maybe it’s the hundred grand Scott Perry has taken from the insurance and drug industries.

Scott Perry cares about himself and his donors, not us.
