NEW: Yesli Vega Vows to “REPEAL” Bill that Lowers Prescription Drug Costs

Today, Yesli Vega pledged to repeal a bill that lowers prescription drug costs for Virginia seniors, proving yet again that she’ll throw Virginians under the bus without a second thought in order to pass her extreme agenda.

Vega doubled down on her opposition to the Inflation Reduction Act, which caps the out-of-pocket cost of prescription drugs at $2,000 for Virginia seniors on Medicare:

Vega also repeated the debunked lie that the Inflation Reduction Act will hire 87,000 new IRS agents to target middle class families – despite the fact that the legislation actually cracks down on corporate and millionaire tax cheats, and the resources aren’t to increase audits on middle class families and small businesses.

Vega has proven she’s a threat to Virginians’ health care, and her promise to repeal legislation that caps prescription drug costs for Virginia seniors is proof that she can’t be trusted in Congress.

“Promising to raise the cost of prescription medicine if you get to Congress isn’t the winning issue Yesli Vega thinks it is,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson.
