Despite their recent legal set-back, New York Republicans are still trying to do everything they can to throw out the law before the special election
Late last night, the Albany County Supreme Court denied the Republican Party’s motion for a preliminary injunction in their challenge to New York State’s universal vote by mail law. Republicans have already appealed the decision.
The GOP’s latest effort to restrict the fundamental right to vote comes ahead of the bellwether special election in New York’s Third Congressional District to replace ousted serial fraudster George Santos.
Although the Republican Party’s voter suppression move was ultimately knocked down, it nevertheless begs the question: does Mazi Melesa Pilip agree with her extreme party’s efforts to restrict New Yorkers’ access to vote by mail?
DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
“With each election, the Republican Party becomes more hell-bent on restricting access to the ballot – this time by taking every measure to prevent New Yorkers from exercising their right to vote by mail. The people of Northeast Queens and Long Island deserve to know if Mazi Melesa Pilip supports the GOP’s efforts to ensure that voters can’t vote by mail.”
