| The Republican health care crisis is dooming House Republicans ahead of the midterm elections.
A new poll from The New York Times finds that voters are increasingly disgusted with the GOP Tax Scam, the massive cuts to Medicaid to fund tax breaks for billionaires, and the refusal to extend ACA tax credits.
- 44% of voters oppose the GOP Tax Scam, which represents the largest transfer of wealth from poor to rich in American history;
- 56% of voters oppose gutting Medicaid to fund tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy;
- 50% of voters oppose Congress failing to extend the ACA tax credits.
At the same time, the cost of living continues to be a dominant issue – and Trump’s sweeping, cost-increasing tariffs are 16 points underwater.
The same New York Times poll found Democrats +5 on the generic ballot, with even greater margins among Independent and Latino voters.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Corrupt House Republicans have failed to deliver on their campaign promise to lower the cost of living. Instead, their extreme agenda of gutting Medicaid and skyrocketing health care costs is deeply unpopular with the American people, who will vote these frauds out of office in 10 months.” |
