Mike Lawler Was A Deciding Vote on the GOP’s Budget Blueprint That Could Decimate Medicaid

Days after Mike Lawler jeopardized health care coverage by voting with his extreme party bosses for House Republicans’ cruel budget blueprint, “hundreds of” Lower Hudson Valley voters held a protest to hold the vulnerable New York Republican accountable.

In NY-17 alone, this dangerous vote risks health care coverage for 98,000 people and food assistance for more than 18,000 households.

DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
“Lower Hudson Valley voters are fed up with Mike Lawler constantly siding with extreme party bosses who are taking a hatchet to critical programs like Medicaid. With each passing day, Lawler’s extremist loyalties will prove perilous for him come next November.”
