NH-01: In WMUR Interview, Karoline Leavitt Supports Privatizing Social Security

Yesterday, in an interview with WMUR, NH-01 GOP candidate Karoline Leavitt said she would write a bill to privatize Social Security.

Adam Sexton, WMUR: Karoline, do you believe Social Security should be privatized?

Karoline Leavitt: I do believe that eventually, we are going to need to find solutions to the problem of Social Security… And the privatization of Social Security while grandfathering in those who have already paid into the system, including myself, I think, is a solution that should be looked at very closely. And I would certainly be interested in proposing legislation to do that when I get to Congress.

In an earlier WMUR interview, Gail Huff Brown, Leavitt’s GOP rival for the NH-01 GOP nomination, was also open to privatization.
