Nick Begich Votes To Keep Raising Health Care Costs for Alaskans

Begich votes to block ACA tax credits and allow premium costs to keep rising

As health care costs continue to skyrocket thanks to House Republicans letting ACA tax credits expire, Nick Begich is hellbent on continuing to raise costs for Alaskans.

Begich just voted AGAIN against a bipartisan effort to extend ACA tax credits for three years. His vote sends the clear message that he remains a threat to Alaskans’ access to affordable health care.

REMINDER: Begich cast a deciding vote on the largest cut to Medicaid in history – ripping away health care from over 35,000 of his constituents. Instead of lifting a finger to help Alaskans, Begich reportedly “blamed the Affordable Care Act for rising costs.”

The DCCC will continue holding Begich accountable for his long record of attacking affordable health care and breaking his promise to lower costs for Alaskans.

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
Today’s vote is another cruel reminder that Nick Begich doesn’t care about Alaskans struggling to keep up with skyrocketing health care bills and is instead actively working to raise costs. Voters will remember his betrayal in November.”
