Nightmare On Main Street: GOP Plan For America Truly Terrifying

The scariest thing this Halloween is the real-life nightmare House Republicans will impose on working families if Kevin McCarthy gets his hands on the speaker’s gavel.

Not a trick nor a treat – here are some of the scariest things Republicans will do if they take the majority:

• Make inflation worse by giving the ultra-wealthy big tax breaks.

  •  “GOP wants to push to extend Trump tax cuts… Republican lawmakers gear up to push 2017 tax law after midterm elections, despite potential impact on inflation.” Washington Post 10/17/22

• Ban abortion nationwide. 

  • “Representative Don Bacon told [Axios] he believes leadership will put a 15-week abortion ban on the floor for a vote and that it will ‘pass, most definitely.’” Vanity Fair 09/23/22

  • House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy said he backs legislation to codify a 15-week ban on abortion, saying: “I’d support that.”

• Put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block.
