Nine Vulnerable House Republicans SILENT on Trump Guilty Verdict

Four days after Donald Trump was found guilty of 34 felonies by a jury of his peers, nine vulnerable House Republicans are staying mum because they are afraid of incurring his political wrath for not being loyal enough to him.

Instead of respecting the rule of law and our justice system, Trump has demanded House Republicans peddle conspiracy theories and attack our institutions on his behalf. Yet, a handful of vulnerable House Republicans are hoping to hide so they don’t have to answer for Trump’s guilt and dangerous lies to their voters.

The list of House Republicans too scared to put people over politics and call out Trump include: Reps. Mike Garcia, Michelle Steel, David Valadao, John Duarte, Young Kim, Kevin Kiley, Tom Kean Jr., Brian Fitzpatrick and David Schweikert.

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Silence is not golden. Vulnerable House Republicans too afraid to cross Trump are making the case against themselves: they will never speak out against their wannabe dictator out of fear of prompting his rage – and the political consequences that come with it.”
