Kean Jr. has faced scrutiny for his corruption in Congress:
A waveof newsoutletsreported that Kean Jr. traded stocks while missing more than 140 votes during his months-long absence from Congress.
NJ.com reported that Kean Jr. broke his promise to place his assets into a blind trust, noting that he has “backed away from that vow.”
New Jersey voters have been seeing ads highlighting how Kean Jr. has been trading stocks while missing votes in Congress.
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin: “Tom Kean Jr. just can’t help himself. He continues to play the stock market in Congress, looking out for his portfolio while New Jersey families pay more because of his votes. Kean Jr. has become a poster-child for the Washington corruption people hate, and it is a big reason why he will lose in November.”
