| For nearly a month now, Tom Barrett has been refusing to do his job and fix the health care crisis facing his constituents — a crisis Barrett helped create.
Barrett “didn’t return a request for comment” on whether he supports extending ACA tax credits – spoiler alert, that’s a NO.
REMINDER: 23,000 people in MI-07 rely on ACA tax credits. Barrett’s refusal to act means their premiums will go up by an average of 61%. 11,600 people will lose their health care off the bat because they can’t afford higher premiums.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Yet again, Tom Barrett is MIA on the job. Barrett refuses to lift a finger to prevent tens of thousands of his constituents from paying more or losing their health care, one of the many reasons why Barrett will lose next year.” |
