“NO PAIN NO GAIN”: Desmond Doesn’t Care as California Gas Average Rises to $6/Gallon

Jim Desmond continues to recklessly stand behind Donald Trump and House Republicans’ economic agenda, which is rapidly accelerating the affordability crisis in Southern California.

In California alone, gas prices are now at nearly $6 per gallon, and the national gas average just hit $4 per gallon, the highest since August of 2022.

Meanwhile, Desmond says these higher prices are “no pain, no gain,” and “President Trump is right.”

The sharp rise in gas prices comes as everyday Americans are struggling to make ends meet as everything gets more expensive. A recent CBS News YouGov poll found that 53% of Americans say President Trump is making people WORSE OFF financially. Even worse: 60% of Independents say Trump’s policies are making them WORSE OFF – up from 38% in October 2024.
