| Congressman Scott Perry’s extremism appears to be catching up to him.
New polling today shows Perry deeply underwater with Central Pennsylvania voters. 53% of voters disapprove of the job he’s doing in Congress, compared to only 36% who approve (a whopping -17 point margin).
And Perry is facing a primary fight from his own party, setting up a messy intra-party brawl that will leave Perry even more damaged.
Perry’s unpopularity might have something to do with the fact that Perry opposes action to prevent skyrocketing health care costs – even saying that extending ACA tax credits would be a “colossal mistake.”
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Scott Perry has spent more than a decade in Washington hurting Central Pennsylvanians by acting as an extremist instead of working to make life more affordable. It’s clear that Pennsylvanians of all political stripes have had enough.” |
