| It seems as though scandal-ridden Andy Ogles has found his scandal-ridden match-made-in-heaven to oversee his legal defense fund.
New reporting from NOTUS reveals that James Appel is listed as a trustee of the Andy Ogles Legal Expense Trust. Appel is currently “facing federal charges of money laundering and wire fraud.”

Ironically enough, Ogles’ legal trust was created to fight a DOJ investigation into his campaign finance account – and Appel’s charges stem from accusations that “he stole about $100,000 from a Maryland state delegate’s campaign accounts and embezzled another $100,000 from a community organization.” Name a better duo!
REMINDER: Ogles was recently named one of the most corrupt politicians in the country, and even his fellow Republicans see “very serious concern” with his laundry list of scandals.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Andy Ogles can’t run from his disastrous record of corruption and shady business dealings. Tennesseans from Columbia to Memphis will learn that Ogles will never put them first, and voters will happily kick him to the curb in November to elect someone they can trust – Mayor Chaz Molder.”
