NPR/MARIST POLL: Dems Lead By 12 Points on Generic Congressional Ballot

Democrats are widening their lead with less than 6 weeks until the midterm election.

According to a new NPR/Marist poll, voters favor Democrats by 12 points on the generic congressional ballot. Additionally, voters believe that Democrats “would do a better job dealing with gas prices, the economy, and foreign policy than Republicans amid rising prices and the war in Iran.”

Democrats also have a massive edge when it comes to voter enthusiasm, pointing to “a potential turnout problem among [the GOP’s] base” and refuting the NRCC’s and “Trump’s plea to pretend he’s on the ballot.”

DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“House Republicans have spent two full years driving up costs and breaking every single one of their promises to the American people. Now, their record has caught up with them, and it’s going to cost them the majority this November.”
