Yesterday, the Pennsylvania General Assembly voted against legislation that would have banned bump stocks in the state and Rob Mercuri was the deciding vote.
Bump stocks effectively turn rifles into fully automatic weapons and are responsible for the deadliest mass shooting in the country’s history.
Rob Mercuri has bragged that he had the highest possible NRA rating, and now he’s doing their dirty work while running for Congress. The far-right state representative has cozied up to dark money donors and special interest groups his entire career, and he’s taken it upon himself to be a rubber stamp for their dangerous agenda.
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“With his deciding vote, Rob Mercuri is putting the gun lobby ahead of the safety of Western Pennsylvanians. Mercuri is the NRA’s lackey and has repeatedly proven that the only people he cares about protecting are the special interests backing his campaign.”
