Realizing they are poised to lose their majority as poll after poll shows Democrats in a commanding lead on the generic ballot, the NRCC is pursuing a desperate attempt at a rebrand, calling their 2026 candidates the so-called “MAGA Majority.”
The single digit list of “battleground candidates” comes as the NRCC and Deputy Speaker Mike Johnson continue to project phony optimism about their chances of winning in November. Meanwhile, nonpartisan race analysts and even Republicans know their razor-thin majority is going down in November.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol: “The NRCC should definitely continue to call their loser recruits ‘MAGA.’ It’ll play perfectly with swing-district voters in November.”
