It’s a Friday news dump miracle: the NRCC decided to comment on the race in OH-09 after staying conspicuously silent about their fringe conspiracist candidate J.R. Majewski.
But they still can’t say his name.
In a statement to the New York Times, the NRCC described their support for Majewski as “doing whatever is necessary.”
Pressed on why they didn’t mention their own candidate in a statement on the race, the NRCC again refused to name him.
Trouble in paradise?
DCCC spokesperson Abel Iraola:
“The NRCC knows it’s stuck with a fringe conspiracist candidate who attended January 6 and has no place in Congress. Not only are they having to grudgingly support a candidate headed for failure, they’re too embarrassed to even say his name.”
