With dreams of Speakership looking tenuous at best, Kevin McCarthy is growing more desperate and cowardly than usual.
Hell bent on proving his bona fides as the most accommodating leader in history, McCarthy continues to give his extremist freshman members a pass as they mingle with white nationalists and MAGA conspiracy theorists. His lack of action sets a dangerous precedent for a fragile Republican majority.
Kevin McCarthy should demonstrate he’s ready to be number three in line to the presidency by denouncing his members’ comments and actions and calling on his leadership to do the same.
