The following is an official statement from the NRCC, as provided to PBS by NRCC National Press Secretary Michael McAdams:
“If the economy continues to crater, I think that presents serious problems for the president.”
While this may be a question of politics for the President and the NRCC, last week the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported an unemployment rate of 14.3 percent – the highest since the Great Depression.
