Last November, Steve Chabot voted against the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which passed with Republican and Democratic votes.
And now we’re seeing what it would have cost Ohio had Chabot gotten his way.
Ohio families will receive $172,384,124 in weatherization assistance for their homes through the U.S. Department of Energy’s Weatherization Assistance Program thanks to the bipartisan infrastructure law.
But Chabot, who has taken over a quarter million dollars from Big Oil & Gas, is more interested in protecting his friends in the energy industry than fighting to bring costs down for everyday Ohioans.
DCCC Spokesperson Abel Iraola:
“The only people Steve Chabot works for in Congress are his special interest friends. After taking over a quarter million dollars from Big Oil & Gas, Chabot voted against the bipartisan infrastructure bill which is set to help Ohioans bring down energy costs while lowering net emissions. If it were up to Chabot, he’d give his greedy friends in the energy industry full rein over Ohio families.”
