| Today marks the 53rd Anniversary of Roe v. Wade – a decision David Valadao spent years working to overturn. In the nearly four years since Roe was overturned, it’s clear Valadao will stop at nothing to rip away health care from Central Valley women and families.
Just last year, Valadao voted to gut health coverage for 68,000 people in CA-22 and trigger up to $128 billion in estimated cuts to California’s health care system – forcing clinic closures, including in Madera, where families already face severe shortages in reproductive and primary care.
REMINDER: Valadao’s record is clear. He supports a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions, endangered IVF treatment by co-sponsoring the Life at Conception Act, voted against protecting access to contraception, and backed legislation to punish doctors and intimidate patients seeking reproductive care.
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“While the Central Valley struggles to afford health care and keep clinics open, David Valadao sides with extremists who want to ban abortion nationwide, punish doctors, and strip women of essential care. He’s too extreme for the Central Valley – and voters won’t forget it.”
