| Today marks the 53rd Anniversary of Roe v. Wade – a decision Nick Begich spent years working to overturn. In the nearly four years since Roe was overturned it’s clear Begich will stop at nothing to rip away health care from California women and families.
Just last year, Begich voted to gut health care for 35,000+ Alaskans and trigger a projected rise of $57 million in uncompensated care costs for Alaska providers – threatening two final clinic closures in the state and jeopardizing reproductive care, essential screenings and family planning services.
REMINDER: Begich’s record is clear. He proudly supports a nationwide abortion ban, opposes pharmacies’ ability to distribute mifepristone to patients, opposes public health programs providing IVF, and doesn’t support the extension of Medicaid coverage even to treat cases of rape, incest, or where the life of the mother is at risk.
