| Today marks the 53rd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision – a decision that Mariannette Miller-Meeks has spent years working to overturn, to rip away women’s freedoms to make their own health care choices.
Quite literally, in fact: Miller-Meeks signed on to the amicus brief pushing for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Here’s your reminder of Miller-Meeks’ commitment to ripping away health care choices from Iowa women:
- Miller-Meeks cosponsored the Life At Conception Act: a total nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the woman’s life.
- Miller-Meeks voted to eliminate the right to an abortion entirely in Iowa.
- Miller-Meeks supported bills that would threaten access to abortion, IVF, and contraception.
- Miller-Meeks signed on to the amicus brief urging SCOTUS to overturn Roe v. Wade.
- Miller-Meeks voted for a backdoor effort to pressure states with established legal protections for abortion into gradually stripping away abortion rights.
REMINDER: SBA Pro-Life, whose mission it is to pass a national abortion ban, is supporting Miller-Meeks and touting her anti-abortion record because they know she is a reliable vote for a national abortion ban.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Mariannette Miller-Meeks has worked for years to ban abortion and deny Iowa women the right to make their own health care decisions, even supporting a national abortion ban with no exceptions – she is directly to blame as health care clinics close and Iowa reproductive care becomes harder and harder to access. There is no doubt she will fall in line with her D.C. party bosses and vote to pass a national abortion ban to further rip away Iowa women’s health care.” |
