On Roe v. Wade Anniversary, Reminder That Zach Nunn Will Stop At Nothing to Rip Away Women’s Health Care

Nunn Will Fall in Line with D.C. Party Bosses to Pass National Abortion Ban

Today marks the 53rd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision – a decision that Zach Nunn has spent years working to overturn, to rip away women’s freedoms to make their own health care choices.

Here’s your reminder of Nunn’s commitment to ripping away health care choices from Iowa women:

  • Nunn said he believes abortion should be illegal without exceptions and raised his hand in support of banning abortion nationwide without exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the woman.
  • Nunn voted for Iowa’s near-total abortion ban in 2018 – a ban that is “nearly identical” to the 2023 heartbeat ban.
  • Nunn voted to eliminate the right to an abortion entirely in Iowa and supported bills that would threaten access to abortion, IVF, and contraception.
  • Nunn touted his 100% pro-life voting record.
  • Nunn voted for a backdoor effort to pressure states with established legal protections for abortion into gradually stripping away abortion rights.

DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Zach Nunn has worked for years to ban abortion and deny Iowa women the right to make their own health care decisions – he is directly to blame as health care clinics close and Iowa reproductive care becomes harder and harder to access. There is no doubt he will fall in line with his D.C. party bosses and vote to pass a national abortion ban to further rip away Iowa women’s health care.”
