On the 14th Anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, Miller-Meeks Continues Reckless Crusade To Wipe Away Health Care From Iowans

14 years after the passage of the Affordable Care Act, Mariannette Miller-Meeks and her party continue to follow dangerous calls to “terminate” coverage for 111,423 Iowans, including some of the 466,000 with pre-existing conditions who would likely be denied coverage without the ACA’s protections.

Miller-Meeks has supported repealing the ACA for years. The majority of the House Republican conference, via their continued support of the Republican Study Committee, back a plan to gut the ACA and privatize Medicare.

Miller-Meeks will do everything she can to take away this critical coverage.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“For 14 years, Iowans have had access to quality health care thanks to the Affordable Care Act. Mariannette Miller-Meeks and her party are fixated on repealing this law, putting hundreds of thousands of Iowans, including those with pre-existing conditions, at risk of being denied coverage. Miller-Meeks’ failure to stand up for Iowans once again will cost her at the ballot box.”
