On the 16th Anniversary of the ACA, Ann Wagner Is To Blame For Missouri Families Facing Rising Health Care Costs

On the sixteenth anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, hardworking Missouri families are reeling from skyrocketing health care costs after Ann Wagner voted against extending ACA tax credits.

Now premiums are higher and affordable options are shrinking, leaving many families in Missouri paying more each month or forgoing coverage entirely.

A majority of Americans blame Republicans for rising health care costs, and many families are already feeling the impact in their day to day lives. According to recent reporting, ACA enrollees are cutting back on basics like food and utilities just to keep up with their monthly health care costs.

DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Ann Wagner hiked health care costs for hardworking families across Missouri to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. By failing to extend the ACA tax credits, Wagner has effectively forced people to choose between paying for basic needs like rent or groceries or going to see a doctor. Missourians are being priced out of their own care, and they’ll remember Wagner is responsible for these skyrocketing bills when they head to the polls in November.”
