On the 16th Anniversary of the ACA, Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn Are To Blame For Iowa Families Facing Rising Health Care Costs

Today is the sixteenth anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, and hardworking Iowa families are paying for Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn’s failure to extend ACA tax credits.

Premiums are higher and affordable options are shrinking, leaving many families in Iowa paying more each month or forgoing coverage entirely.

A majority of Americans blame Republicans for rising health care costs, and many families are already feeling the impact in their day to day lives.

According to recent reporting, ACA enrollees are cutting back on basics like food and utilities just to keep up with their monthly health care costs.

DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn hiked health care costs for hardworking families across Iowa to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. By failing to extend the ACA tax credits, Miller-Meeks and Nunn effectively forced people to choose between paying for basic needs like rent or groceries or going to see a doctor – voters will hold them accountable this November.”
