| On the sixteenth anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, hardworking Ohio families are reeling from skyrocketing health care costs after Max Miller, Mike Turner, and Mike Carey failed to extend the ACA tax credits.
Now premiums are higher and affordable options are shrinking, leaving many families in Ohio paying more each month or forgoing coverage entirely.
A majority of Americans blame Republicans for rising health care costs, and many families are already feeling the impact in their day to day lives. According to recent reporting, ACA enrollees are cutting back on basics like food and utilities just to keep up with their monthly health care costs.
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Today’s anniversary is a reminder that Max Miller, Mike Turner, and Mike Carey handed a massive health care tax hike to hardworking families across Ohio. By failing to extend the ACA tax credits, Miller, Turner, and Carey have effectively forced people to choose between paying for basic needs like rent or groceries or going to see a doctor. Ohioans are being priced out of their own care, and they’ll remember Miller, Turner, and Carey are responsible for these skyrocketing bills when they head to the polls in November.” |
