On the 16th Anniversary of the ACA, Reminder That Ryan Mackenzie Called The Health Care Law “An Infringement Upon Our Rights”

On the 16th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act becoming law, here is a reminder that career politician Congressman Ryan Mackenzie called the ACA “infringements upon our rights,” and said the health care program had turned “out to be more of a disaster than I think anybody ever imagined.”

Now, because of Mackenzie’s career-long efforts to undermine access to affordable health care, premiums are skyrocketing for Pennsylvania families who are paying more or forgoing coverage entirely.

A majority of Americans blame Republicans for rising health care costs, and many families are already feeling the impact in their day to day lives. According to recent reporting, ACA enrollees are cutting back on basics like food and utilities just to keep up with their monthly health care costs.

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Today’s anniversary is a reminder that career politician Ryan Mackenzie has spent his career undermining access to affordable health care and is so extreme that he even called the ACA ‘infringements upon our rights.’ Pennsylvania families are being priced out of their own care, and they’ll remember that Mackenzie is responsible for these skyrocketing bills when they head to the polls in November.”
