On the 16th Anniversary of the ACA, Reminder That Scott Perry Said It Would Be A “Colossal Mistake” to Lower Health Care Costs

On the 16th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act becoming law, here is a reminder that Congressman Scott Perry said it would be a “colossal mistake” to lower Central Pennsylvanians’ health care costs.

Now, because of Perry’s extreme attacks on affordable health care, premiums are skyrocketing for Central Pennsylvania families who are paying more or forgoing coverage entirely.

A majority of Americans blame Republicans for rising health care costs, and many families are already feeling the impact in their day to day lives. According to recent reporting, ACA enrollees are cutting back on basics like food and utilities just to keep up with their monthly health care costs.

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Today’s anniversary is a reminder that Congressman Scott Perry is so extreme that he said it would be a ‘colossal mistake’ to lower health care costs for Central Pennsylvanians. Hardworking families are being priced out of their own care, and they’ll remember that Perry is responsible for these skyrocketing bills when they head to the polls in November.”
