| On this day 62 years ago, America’s nutrition assistance program was signed into law, helping generations of Florida families and children afford healthy, nutritious meals. Today, Anna Paulina Luna is working to dismantle that program.
Luna voted to slash food assistance for more than 24,000 households in her own district. In the year since Luna and House Republicans voted to cut $187 billion from SNAP with their Big, Ugly Bill, nearly 560,000 Floridians have already lost critical nutrition assistance, forcing them to decide between feeding their families or paying their bills.
