| On this day 62 years ago, America’s nutrition assistance program was signed into law, helping generations of California families and children afford healthy, nutritious meals. Today, Kevin Kiley is working to dismantle that program.
Kiley voted to slash food assistance for more than 41,000 households in the district he’s running to represent. In the year since Kiley and House Republicans voted to cut $187 billion from SNAP with their Big, Ugly Bill, over 330,000 Californians have already lost critical nutrition assistance, forcing them to decide between feeding their families or paying their bills.
