The CHIPS Act has created more than 50,000 good-paying jobs since 2022
Two years ago, the CHIPS and Science Act was signed into law thanks to President Biden, Vice President Harris, and House Democrats.
This legislation has delivered historic investments in American manufacturing, spurring the re-shoring of jobs and strengthening the nation’s domestic supply chain. Specifically, the CHIPS Act has:
Spurred the creation or expansion of 83 new semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain facilities across the country.
Attracted $447 billion in private investments across 25 states, boosting America’s chip manufacturing capacity while reducing our dependence on importing chips – including $123.3 billion in New York.
Expanded opportunities at more than 50 community colleges to help workers access these job opportunities.
DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
“Pat Ryan is committed to putting working families first in Congress – and the jobs created by the CHIPS and Science Act are a tangible reminder of what House Democrats can accomplish for the middle class when in the majority.”
