Today, Rep. Ann Wagner joined her fellow Republicans and voted to shut down the government, recklessly threatening our economy and risking critical government services.
If Rep. Ann Wagner had it her way, Missourians who are employed by the federal government would be furloughed without pay, our national security would be at risk, and Missouri families who rely on federal benefits would be left on their own.
While the GOP is busy censuring their own members and Wagner avoids answering whether she thinks the deadly January 6th attack that the GOP’s ‘Big Lie’ incited was “legitimate political discourse,” Wagner chose to follow her extremist Washington party bosses instead of doing her job.
“Ann Wagner once again voted to shut down the government despite knowing the damage it would inflict on Missouri families and economy,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson. “Voters deserve better than extremist Republicans like Wagner who consistently turns her back on her constituents.”
