Today, one day after announcing his doomed campaign for Congress, Brandon Williams is bringing MAGA extremist Kevin McCarthy to New York’s 22nd Congressional District.
After voting with McCarthy 94% of the time, it’s safe to say Williams is being rewarded for being a reliable vote for Republican leadership’s dangerous, out-of-touch agenda in Congress.
Only eight months into serving in Congress, Williams has followed McCarthy’s lead by voting to protect federally-indicted George Santos, abandoning campaign promises by backing an extreme anti-abortion measure that would rip private health insurance coverage away from women, and refusing to sign onto efforts to pass common-sense background check bills.
While Williams tries to pass as a moderate to Central New Yorkers, he’s consistently propped up McCarthy’s extreme agenda in Washington.
