We’re in a very strong position.

The focus right now is making sure we turn out the vote. Because I think voters are with us. People are with us on policy. They want to see governance work. They’ve seen the chaos and dysfunction that’s happened.

[Republicans have] put us on the brink of a shutdown, of a default, of a shutdown again. And the only reason we’ve seen reasonable policies get passed, and frankly, even really basic, just keeping the government funded, is because of Democrats coming in.

I think it’s important that we look and have folks who are going to really talk about the kind of the core priorities we want to see, fairness, building a strong middle class, making sure that we have a strong economy that has opportunity for everyone.
